I was in their control room that monitors the highways about 10 years ago as we used to supply some computers for their video walls. At the time it was very impressive.

They even had a "special room" where some anonymous people used to show up and "spy" on certain vehicles of interest. Or so I was told.

I used a pool test kit on the "tap water" that we get in Brackenfell just for the hell of it I could NOT tell the difference when measuring everything from free Chlorine to total alkalinity of tap water compared to my neighbours pool! The tap water in Vredekloof (top end close to the Reservoir above Glengarry) is exactly the same! So watering our gardens with the stuff out of the taps is a very bad idea.

How much chlorine did you measure in the tap water?

Does anyone know if it's the extra moisture in the air which in turn means the air has more "heatsink" in it and hence pulls heat out of your body faster than dry air?

And that creates the feeling of it being colder despite the ambient temperatures being the same as it was on a different day which had less "bite" in it. I hope I explained that right..

Could well be ... even my chest freezer had condensation on the outside this morning.
