Rain and storm for Cpt

Freezing in Fish Hoek. Been raining most of the night and all morning thus far. Strong winds. This is how I remember winter as a kid.

Atlantic Seaboard side as well. Winter came very late, but it sure made an entrance.

Looks like one of my gutters is clogged and have some water ingress in the one corner of the house. The only gutter I didn't inspect the other day obviously.

Now have to wait for the rain to hold up a bit so I can get onto the roof and clear it out

Insane amounts of rain in Kenilworth: About 25mm in our gauge overnight. Another 50mm+ in our gauge between 7am and 11am. Still bucketing down, but might be a gap around lunchtime (satellite view).

SAEON Dwarsberg shows just under 100mm during the same period. Temperature is +3C, so most of the low-level snow is melting rapidly. Pity we didn't get clear skies to see much of it...
