The SAWS reports widespread heavy rain in parts of the SW-Cape (particularly near the mountains) during the 24 hours to 8am on Mon 8th: https://www.weathersa.co.za/images/data/climate/nr_daily_rai.pdf
Highest include Ceres 124mm, Grabouw 84mm, Elim 70mm, Tulbagh 70mm, Jonkershoek 68mm, Villiersdorp 57mm, Paarl 51mm, etc. Also of note were Calvinia (NC) 30mm and Springbok (NC) 24mm.
Our gauge in Kenilworth recorded about 80mm. SAEON Dwarsberg recorded 124mm (see above).
