About 5-10mm possible for Thurs 4th, depending on the area, and which forecast you believe.

i go to theewaterskloof dam every weekend.
a year ago today it sat just over 10%, really sad.
at least the dam is looking better now, but still a long way to go, i wish for another rainy season like last year

at least vehicles with 4 wheels have heaters unlike my motorbike

Why are you chicken?
We travelled to Sani from the Lesotho side in winter on a road that all sites recommended no one does on his own, at night in a snowstorm.

The rain has already eased off here in Kenilworth, but I got very wet between 10 and 11am while walking the dog.

The temperature chart for tomorrow (Fri 5th) is quite impressive, with unseasonably low temperatures across the entire southern half of SA:

Thread is rather quiet. I see the weather guys have belatedly attributed the severe flooding in some parts of the Eastern Cape and KZN to a cut off low? I was not particularly watching the weather so missed it? Did anyone else spot the formation of a cut off low?

Yes, but I posted about the COL in the KZN thread, since it has had no impact on Cape Town.

Seems dry until at least the first week in May...

We could really do with some rain, Eersterivier is looking as empty as it did last year at the height of the drought.

I guess, they control the flow of the river by the amount of water being released upstream at the Jonkershoek dam where the Theewaterskloof tunnel comes through.

This time last year it was 10.3%
