Rain High Ping

Had a tech come over today ( props to Rain for sending out people on a holiday ) - done some tests - with existing CPE X, brand new CPE X and tech's own CPE X
Results = same issues - high ping & slow speeds than before

Did they say how or when they plan to fix it?

From another thread or this one it seems like ping issues are how they route and their providers. So its a network issue they need to resolve.

We are working with out upstream providers to sort this out.

definitely a network / tower problem, but they keep insisting that's its my premises...

and this just proves this theory ( which I have told @rain_networks about )
whenever I do a rain.speedtest its "preferred optimal" server it chooses is CPT, when I'm in JHB...

but they don't listen...

Its been stated in other threads that rain reps have mentioned there is something wrong with their speedtest functionalty.

Rather use something else. But the high ping and irregular ping on the network has been identified and confirmed by @rain_networks

I've also reported higher than normal latency, especially in games like CoD MW.
Got a phone call from a nice chap at Rain, they will investigate.
Yesterday, my pings were back to normal; 10ms on Speedtest.net, similar on MYBB speedtest. Rain speedtest was 30ms+ to Jo'burg server. Speeds were unaffected; 400Mbps down, 50Mbps up.

Today, all 3 are back to 30ms+, something is afoot!!

Anyone else seeing an increase in ping to some EU regions (League of Legends is now around 300ms). From pingplotter it seems that it is going via New York but I am not sure.

Something is up, playing in the Diablo III Season 22 (EU Servers), and today the ping jumped and became totally unplayable. It was still fine yesterday.

Yeah i also picked this up in D3 the last 2 nights have not played
