Those speeds are then due to tower load.two more weeks till fibre installation, then it is bye bye Rain, I cannot understand Rain, 370 mb/s before 5 am,5 am to 17H00 90-180 mb/s after 17H00 drops to 60mb/s then to 30mb/s before going up to 180 mb/s around 23H00.
Just two more weeks, battling Rain's fluctuating speeds, then I will be free, 200mb/s up and down, constant stable speed
Yes Only one tower that works, many towers around, but none of them workThose speeds are then due to tower load.

I used the Ratel 860p with no issues. Connected it to a gigabit POE connector and it ran the CPE fine for 4hrsAnyone have a backup power supply for their outdoor cpe or could recommend one please?
AFAIK these are able to be locked to a specific network. Not sure how to unlock.I purchased a used RAIN 5G outdoor router (model no: N5368X) today.
I have tried using both a Vodacom and a MTN simcard in the router, but it seems the router is not connecting to neither the Vodacom nor MTN networks.
My intention was to use the router to connect to the Vodacom 4G/LTE network since there is no Vodacom 5G coverage in my area.
Do you guys think the router is perhaps network locked to RAIN, and can't be used on any other cellular network ?
Or do you think there are some settings i need to configure on the router that will allow me to connect to the Vodacom network ?
Any help will be appreciated.
Maybe a firmware flash would do the trick? Not sure if there's deep network config required after.I purchased a used RAIN 5G outdoor router (model no: N5368X) today.

Would like to try flashing a different firmware version, but I can't find a firmware file on the internet to download.Maybe a firmware flash would do the trick? Not sure if there's deep network config required after.
do not understand Rain's logic, problem must be on site, yet 18 out of 24 hours speed in excess of 120 mb/s up to 367 mb/s. come 17H00 speed drops to below 25 mb/s to go up again after 23H00 to over 180 mb/s.Rain is throtteling their home premiun customers, from 17H00 till around 23H00 my speed below 10mb/s. not even rain rep on here can explain, each time we are checking into this, and then nothing

fibre rolled out to the street, but nothing yet in complex, fibre providers waiting for lots of people to sign up, before rolling out, and our complex is mostly old people who will not go for fibre. so even though fibre is in area, it is not available in our physical area. so i am stuck for now with rain, and their liesWhy are you still with rain?
Get the PCI numbers of tower cells (usually three) you are connecting too and enter them.Hi
