RAIN Huawei 5G CPE Pro settings

What fixed it for me was going into antenna settings in "system -> antenna" and changed the 'Select Mode:' from 'Auto' to 'Fixed' and apply. You can change the 'Antenna Combine Index', it's the combination of antennas which can be used on the device. The arrows in red shows the antenna combination for the selected 'Antenna Combine Index', more details can be read in the user help manual (as shown below). The 'TX Antenna' is the antenna currently used, respective to the 'Antenna Combine Index'."

Thank you for the detailed info. I've tried with the fixed antenna settings, which made it slightly more usable, but not stable at all yet. I seem to have pretty solid reception and connection on the router, but no usable luck. I feel like I've tried everything, so guess I'll just have to wait.

I have been trying the same , Able to get my side stable to fairly good signal, But something is up with the Rain towers. I get times where my 4G is still connected ,But 5G drops completely , that also then entirely makes my connection go offline .

i had it happen this morning again ..

The last two weeks, this keeps on happening to me as well.

On the bottom of the unit you should see a little "door" secured by a screw. This is also where the sim card is located in. Once you've opened the flap you will see the hole for the reset button as well as the sim card. I used a paperclip to push the reset button. I'll find the exact details, but pushing it for a couple of seconds while the unit is on, will reset the settings and allow you to log in. Pushing it longer will completely factory reset it, including changing the firmware version back to the version it was on when it left the factoryView attachment 798523

Has anyone tried this full reset via the button? After this, would it connect back to the Rain network automatically or does it need to be configured to connect back to rain (ie. change the APN etc) ?

#dantex, Thank you very much this helped me alot. I can now access my CPE Management portal, I've changed my antenna to 1,which seems to be the best one, however I've run a speed test 3 times on all ten and they are very different on all 3 tests from 1-10. My ping averaged 13 and Jitter 4,but when I run a network test on my Xbox, the latency average 250ms (very high for online gaming) I've plugged my wifi extender directly into the Xbox and my Download and upload speed dramatically increase, but my latency is still high

I'm done with Rain, next month they can take their superior 5G and shove it where the son doesn't shine. Eventialy got the twoo green lights on so I'm ready for 5G, Great for half an hour 350+Mps download speed suddenly my speed readings were 16Mps,upload speed 1.5Mps, Ping 35ms and Jitter 75ms. This is worse when I was only connected to 4G at 2.5Hrz. Now even with my 4G it's running slower and the only way I can get some juice out of it is with my WiFi extender. Back to Fibre for me.

Is there a guide somewhere on to how to mount the CPE ? I'm considering mounting mine on the roof but have no idea about how to prevent it getting fried by lightning.

I think it's the user manual that says it should be mounted such that it's below a 45 degree angle from the top.

Been struggling with this for 3 weeks now now. numerous conversations with rain support. only work around to be able to work during the day is placing the router outside on the balcony on a number of chairs to get the best possible signal, only way to get a stable connection. 5G is weird like that. Rain needs to do something about this...

Hi , Any idea on lightning protection of the CPE ?

I saw this on the forum and it works but It has not been tested yet as there has been any rain since I mounted the CPE
