Not all of us are lucky to have landed on fibre - Rain is our only solution. They tweeted they are aware of the situation though

SO this is how it feels. First time getting disconnected without a lick of data on either rain mobile or rain fixed. I am now worried since my data hopes hinge on those two being up

Fortunately I have Hellkom uncapped as a secondary connection. I prefer my Rain though. Peak time now so no difference, until 11pm

I grabbed me a 7 day sim so technically I should not be worried about peak time. Hope they give us a full day compensation for all this heartache headache and mental trauma.

Rain just died.. Seems they maybe been hit with load shedding..

Didn't load shedding kill their system a while back.. Lesson not learnt

The one VC is my Wife's iPad, other VC son's dual sim, MTN other son's dual sim, Rain (new) my iPad ... all "necessary evils" So all in use, but a real handy backup if the **** hit the fan

In Pretoria , Rain mobile red light no connection but Rain fixed through Afrihost only allowing some sites through.

Yup Same in PE at 5:40pm signal dead AF drove to another part of PE same thing have to use MTN

Mine was also completely down in Bellville for around 20 mins (no signal at all). All good now after a few reboots, getting 50Mbps+

I have all lights except the crucial status light on the router. It’s like a car having everything but petrol. Can’t go anywhere. So some development but even after a restart all lights show fine except status light and dashboard says disconnected

Just keep rebooting every 5 mins or so until it's back online, that's what I did. Think they're having a national outage, according to Afrihost's site that seems to be the case.
