Torrents are not limited, my torrents download at the same speeds as my direct downloads. sometimes even faster depending on the seeders/

Loving Rain LTE at the moment... download speeds sits around 8 to 10Mbps... I can connect remotely to my computer nicely through TeamViewer. I hope rain brings unmetered peak data to complete the package :)

What would happen if during sign up I turn off spend limit? Is usage unlimited or capped at R0?

I've done it and it's capped at R0 meaning it will have no data to use until you increase the spend limit in increments of R50.

I'm on a measly 78GB, I'll probably only hit around 100gb by month end. But then again, where else can one get 100 GB for R250?

Guys and gals,i am lost at the moment..yes i know for R250 its worth it and i have a rain sim in my lte modem for months now and the average speed i am getting is 1mb/sec to 7 if i am lucky. My son normally use the rain after school for various things and its great for him.
When i play online games its just about works but lots of lag issues and disconnects.Apex legends is just about works with some major issues such as ping and network stability. Most times online games work fine off peak, which is kinda ok.

I was wondering is there a way to make rain work a bit better or gain some more speed via my telkom router b593.
I am getting good rain signal but it seems to be congested 24/7 for months now.I do have one gsm external antenna
Not connected to the router.
Please if anyone has an option for me or some settings to try on the modem..etc i appreciate it so much for your feedback. As it stands my signal is good just not getting speeds higher that 9mb/s offpeak.I spend about R500 a month on the rain service......if that helps..lol

Switching to a b618 with external poynting antenna is your best (albeit not guaranteed) bet. It'll cost you a bit, but should be cheaper than switching to a different provider.

Another option is to try the 2500mhz band

Thank you speedster for your feedback.I will check the router for that band, first updating firmware then i will test your option.BTW i dont think i am gonna spend anymore money on hardware as its a tight budget.I am just disappointed in the rain speed. beggars cant be chooses when its only R250 a month for uncapped. It gets the job done for what i use rain for, pity its just sad that some ppl boast with 50mb/s and here i just about get 1-7mb/s

i am really envious of those guys.*puts hands of face and cries broken hearty ..sobbing snot and tranne*

Not too impressed at the moment.
Speeds went down quite a bit on LTE, especially on torrents over the weekends.
Will try pushing LTE-A once I upgrade my Telkom package.
Luckily Rain is month to month so no issues leaving if need be.
Love having it as a back up though...

I feel somewhat fortunate, rock solid performance on my side. Downloaded Red Dead 2 overnight without sweating
