Same story in Hermanus. Used to be great but slow the past month.

You can try changing from 1800 to 2600 MHz, didn't work here.

I have reported it to support several times. They are absolutely useless. Frustrating to deal with. And there is no resolution other than feedback that:

Let's assume they increase the price to R300. Would there be a better option then?
Still at R300,it good. I have the telkom LTE uncapped from few years back. R525 currently.

FUP is about 350GB,but I have hit 500GB before speed dropped.

But a person can't get that anymore.
Just the June special of R899 for 150GB @10mbps, then goes to 50GB @4mbps then after that @2mbps

I guess lets wait to hear what offer ends 30 June 2019 really means. Hope it means that no new signups but those that already signed up continue with the current deal and price. Would certainly help with congestion issues I am hearing about. I think maybe they mean new signups pay full price for delivery after 30 June 2019.

That's probably it. Same as happened with their fixed lte.

Thanks for clearing that up. Wonder what they have up their sleeves. Hopefully something to help with the 6pm to 11pm gap. No reps on this forum that can give us a hint?

And increase the congestion, no wonder we can't have nice things.

Feel like they might start selling set data bundles, seeing as they selling to a possibly different customer base at kiosks...

Probably my last month with them. From awesome to ****.

I'm not surprised. Everyone is defending the over 1TB users saying unlimited should mean unlimited. They just don't have the spectrum and towers sustain so many downloaders. Not to mention the Vodacom roaming killing the network too.

I use less than 200 GB a month (< 100 GB on Rain and < 100 GB on Telkom), they can add a FUP for all I care as long as I get speed.

My guess would be they are going to launch a package to combat Telkom's "uncapped" ... maybe a full uncapped option for R599 or R699 <in that zone>. I figure the speed cap from 6pm to 11pm will still be in place then. So most things will be 6mbit or so between 6pm and 11pm.

Anyone else getting occasional disconnects from the network? It usually re-connects again after about 2 minutes. Started happening a few days ago.
