So basically I know my towers 4G is pretty congested especially on the unlimited data free days Rain gave everyone. I did some tests using a Rain 4G sim in a Huawei B618 and a Huawei H112 5G CPE to see the speed difference. Not much but carrier aggregation makes a difference. Aggregates both Band 3 and Band 38 and uses Band 3 for upload so uploads are always fast.

Not major difference because I know 4G on my tower is slooooooow because it's congested as hell. 5G on the same tower though with the Huawei H112-370

I'm out of the Rain :)

Fibre up and running so now I will just be complaining when my clients connections are slow.

It was just a matter of time. They are following the ADSL play book perfectly.

Hahaha sad life hey, so now seems they're throttling torrents and netflix, my netflix never reaches 4k/uhd anymore when I'm running Rain

They have to since the congestion in some areas is really bad.
Some of us are really struggling with the overall experience.
If this helps then they will save themselves from losing customers to the other networks who are becoming more competitive.

Well, when two people have 5G, congestion isnt a problem. Your time will come. Just like the 4G people's time has come.

Maybe but range and price means it will take longer. Ohh and the tower I'm using is surrounded by fibre. The whole coverage area is surrounded by fibre so the R2250 once off fee and R1000 monthly fee will likely deter people when you can get 10Mbps uncapped fibre for R399 from Mweb with free installation and setup.

If my speeds stays above 200Mbps always then it's still a saving for me compared to the cheapest 200Mbps fibre line.
