Maybe but range and price means it will take longer. Ohh and the tower I'm using is surrounded by fibre. The whole coverage area is surrounded by fibre so the R2250 once off fee and R1000 monthly fee will likely deter people when you can get 10Mbps uncapped fibre for R399 from Mweb with free installation and setup.

If my speeds stays above 200Mbps always then it's still a saving for me compared to the cheapest 200Mbps fibre line.
Until those with 40MB (whose average price is R900 per month) and above Fibre connections start to think like you. Yes, I agree, it will take time, but its inevitable.

Spectrum wise Rain has a lot of spectrum in that band. 6 to 7 times more in fact so that is also a big factor.

Band 3 on Rain has 10MHz but N78 5G in 3.6GHz they have 140MHz spectrum.

I am not too clued up with Spectrum, bands and all that. But you are basically saying, 5G has more capacity right?

Significantly more. 4G and 5G is not the problem it's spectrum. More spectrum means higher speeds.

In that case, I stand by what I said even more now as this type of speak (more capacity, that you will have full speeds all the time uncapped and unshaped and then sing kumbaya) was more or less exactly what was said when fibre was first introduced. And look where we are now with Fibre. We have already reached the "congestion during peak hours" crap. Same story different actors as ADSL basically.

If you don't mind me asking, are you still using your fibre at home, and do you suffer from fibre congestion? Because I don't have any issues with mine *touch wood*. I didn't know that you also make use of Rain uncapped

Just came back home.
Was still down, until I rebooted the router.

It was fun, but I've just cancelled.

Got one
Thought you were on Vumatel fibre. Are you using the Rain Sim in your mobile phone?
In phone and a device, fibre still more expensive at this price point.

Just dropped again this morning.
