Rain Sim Card Router Not working

Tried sim in 1st router no signal nothing.

Tried Rain sim in Phone setup works fine.

Tried it in another LTE mifi router, RAIN signal but internet bot working

Previous Vodafone Mobile WiFi routers:
ZTE R218
ZTE MF910

Could it be routers or some settings on rain?

Hi, please try the below


1. Connect the device to a laptop/computer as if you are charging it (turn the device on while you are doing this).
2. Search for the device under your laptop/computer network icon and connect to it, if it needs a password, use the wifi key that will be found either at the back or on the backlid of the device (a sticker should be on either place showing the make and model of the device, serial number, etc, amongst those will be the Wifi key).
3. Open a browser and type in 192.168.0.1 on the address bar of the browser.
4. A ZTE webpage will appear, on your username and password, enter “admin” and press “enter”.
5. Go to settings>> Mobile network>> APN.
a. Profile name: rain
b. APN field: rain
c. Username: admin
d. Password: admin
e. PDP type: IPV4
f. Authentication: none
 
yip had an APN issue this morning in swapping sims between phones.
one of my phones got the SMS with the settings, but still didnt work, until I manually added the APN settings myself.
 
@rain_mobile I have a Huawei B315s-936 I believe it comes from Telkom as the TR-069 settings are Telkom related, my rain SIM card doesn't read in the router at all where as Telkom and Vodacom work perfectly, I've tried using the following in my APN settings

Profile:rain
APN:rain

And then I tried changing the username and password to admin to no avail, the SIM card is not damaged as we use it in another router, and our plan is the unlimited 4G access so we're not device bound.

Please help lol or I'll end up bricking my router trying to flash it with firmware TIA

@rain_mobile I have tried inserting my rain sim card into 3 wifi routers it says connected but no internet. The rain sim card works fine in the mobile phone

I am currently using vodafonemobile wi-fi R216 router manually entered the APN followed all instructions it still shows no internet and status shows Disconnected.

Can you please assist.
 
I hvae received my router and confirmation that my sim is activated but when i need to configure the setting on the router it say no sim or invalid sim @rain_networks
 
Good day. I'm having the same problems. I swapped my 4Gsim for 5G router. The router connect but no internet. What's wrong. How do I get internet. I feel like cancel this contract and using another provider. It's been 2days since I received this think that I am without television and internet and it's easter weekend as well without connection.
 
I have the same problem. I got my router and sim today.
Having the same problem on my end. I received both device and sim today.

Rain has activated the sim but on the ZTE web page it says no sim card/invalid.
