Well I have a little problem. A freind of mine wants to gieve me a few songs he recorded but I can't download them because I get some errors using Rapidshare or upload.to. It says that my IP is allready downloading something (Rapidshare) and on download.to I click download and nothing happens.

Does someone know what that is and how I can download the songs?

Email? Or maybe put them on a cd and mail it to you?

:-)

I have had the same issue with rapidshare in the past. Maybe you're using a proxy? if it's just person to person, the easiest thing might be to create your own ftp server. it's a lot simpler than it sounds. Otherwise if you must use rapidshare try clearing out your history from the browser then go again. Turn off the router and on again and see if it resets itself.

Buying a rapidshare account would fix the problem. Unfortunately nowadays the cheapest it seems is a 30 day @ around R80 which sucks. Used to get 3 day accounts :o

In fact rapidshare itself sucks. Windows LiveDrive gives you free uploads of up to 25gb.

quickshare is ok but the file size limit is a bit crimping.

on another site they have some files i wanna download but it is Rapidshare programme or whatever you call it and as i am not a subscriber i clicked on the "free user" button and have to wait a few seconds but then i get an error message, why is this?

With Rapidshare (assuming the problem is your SAIX proxy, i.e you're on an ADSL line with SAIX) you need to chose a Level 3 server from the advanced options just before you can click download.

The others never used to work.

thanks man, sorry only saw he message now, i have no clue what SAIX is but from what you just said i will mess around and see what happens.

My experience with Rapidshare in the past (and present) has been......interesting..... If you have an account then its a dream - put on Flashget and there u go - no account usually equals to putting in the link manually -> pressing Free User.... watch the page reload....... press Free User again.....watch the page reload.....wait for the little countdown........Press Download. You are correct tho that on the Free User option one can only download one file at a time and only a total of 100Mb an hour if i remember correctly!
