There is no longer and reason for uploaders to upload to RS. They have great domination for many years, and they were great, but as history has shown, all great leaders will fall...

I am also a frustrated Rapidshare customer. Unfortunately the last time I have created a yearly account and I still had 6 months to go and they have converted my account to some Rapids.
Has anyone calculate the amount of bandwidth that rapidshare is subtracting from your precious traffic limit each time you download something?
I have made a detail calculation with the following results.
My traffic left was 939086 KB
I have downloaded a file of 201856 KB (this is the size rapidshare was giving for the file after I have sign out from my premium account).
The traffic left after downloading this file should be 737230 KB but I have only left with 613905 KB
Make your calculation to find out that rapidshare actually is stealing traffic (in this situation 123325 KB) each time you download something. The same applies for all the packages and for each file you download.
I am also considering Hotfile as my next service ASAP.

As a result of the recent adjustments to our product and pricing model we have received a lot of feedback from our users. There was also positive response but we want to be honest with you: most answers were negative. With our adjustments we have alienated many users. As a matter of course, that was not our intention. Instead, it is our goal to introduce a system that gives our users more flexibility. However, we are happy about every single user response that we have received as this is the only way we can learn what our users really want. That is the reason why we have fundamentally revised our offer one more time and made it much simpler.

In addition to the free Premium Accounts, with immediate effect there is only one package for everybody: RapidPro

For 99 Rapids users immediately receive a traffic volume of 30 GB and a storage volume of 10 GB which last for 30 days.

If users need more volume, they can buy extra volume, of course. Each additional 1 GB of storage costs 2 Rapids per 30 days. 5 GB additional traffic volume will be charged with only 14 Rapids.

Unused traffic volume does not expire.

The prices for Rapids remain the same as before.

That means that users can use their RapidPro 30 days for only 99 Cent making the new RapidShare second to none also in terms of value for money.

Please note that users have the following options in their account settings:
•Keep files forever: This option is not activated in the default settings. This means that if users exceed their storage volume, files that have not been downloaded for 60 days will automatically be deleted.
•Automatic purchase of traffic: This option is activated in the default settings. As soon as users reach the limit of their traffic volume, they will automatically buy additional volume.
•Automatic RapidPro Extension: This option is activated in the default settings. RapidPro-Packages will automatically be extended after 30 days if the user still has Rapids left.
Users can change these settings at any time in their account settings.

We are convinced that we will meet our users' needs with the new and simple model.

I think the rapids that have gone are in repect of last nights debit. The 99 rapids should go off tonight. That's how I understand it anyway...

It is rather confusing, I think they're working with a daily download traffic. There's been so much talk, it's gotten mashed up

This is much better now, I think...

Pretty much a case of manage your own bandwith now, without gigs falling away every day. Now i can queu up my files, buy 10gigs and use them up. Or budget for 100 for the month. The traffic left now also works in jdownloader. Happy hour between 2am and 10am means i download a 720p rip @ 4.7gigs and it only costs me 470mb of traffic

Ok so I bought 5000 rapids last week firstly the 5gb every day did not carry over. Now with this new thing it says that I must extend to pro for 99rapids but when I want to click extend it gives me this error.

ERROR: apiextendrapidpro blocked by RSAntiHack.

Any Suggestions!

Yes, Deactivate the Security-Lock before you try to extend.
