RASPBERRY Pi Order Placed !!

So, what you gonna do with it? I'm on week 5 of my wait. I only expect early august but I still haven't really decided on a medium term strategy for this thing. I am THINKING of getting one of these. I read elsewhere about how a guy was using this on his PI (res is crappy, but readable).

A bit too small, don't you think?

At least a cheap 10" would be better. But monitors will cost even more than the pi.

I've got a screen that size.... you can barely read the terminal text on the screen. I ended up plugging it into the 32" while I wait for my hdmi-dvi adapter.
 
So for 20 quid I should rather look at the adapter - I dunno, I still haven't figured out entirely what the hell I'm gonna do with it.

DHL just delivered mine 5 min ago.

DHL picked mine up this morning.. now the little fella has a loooooong trip to SA. :D

Mine's been sitting on my desk for a week now... not sure what to do with it really (and it's not liking my wifi adapter) :p

Pfft..... it cost me R500..... not sure anyone would pay that (yes, I was one of the lucky ones to get screwed with a customs + DHL fee)

Nah, I'll find time to actually do something useful with it.

Mine is turning into a retro-multi console.. starting with emulating a NES. :D

I only saw this now...

About a week before I got my Raspberry Pi, someone phoned me and wanted my email address. It was just one of those days, I didn't question him or even ask his name. He said that they will send a pro forma invoice or something like that.

Anyway, the Pi was delivered and there was no extra charge. A few days later I looked at the tax invoice attached to the package. It says:
1. Detach this payment advice and return it together with your payment.
2. Cheque should be crossed and made payable to DHL International (Pty) Ltd..

COD shipment - delivery on payment only.

There's no banking details on the invoice whatsoever - no branch codes or account numbers.

Should I just ignore the instructions given on the tax invoice, or what? I'm not sure.

You ignored it and got it? Mine was delayed until I paid :(
 
Looks like I won't be getting one, They have been unresponsive for over two weeks as to where my order is... lodged a dispute with paypal last week, still no response, escalated to a claim today.

(think its around 2 months now)
