*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Sorry, my mistake: www.news24.com.

Working fine on my side.

I would like to know why I'm still getting duplicate emails. On Tuesday I got 61 emails, mostly repeats. Had to delete them manually at webmail.

Still getting the same thing today, it's getting annoying now.

Anyone else seeing issues with iBurst tonight? Some sites seem to be normal, others (twitter.com, bmj.com) just never load, or load once but won't on refresh. Pings look okay (no packet loss, 400-450ms times). None of the affected sites are reported as down by http://www.downornot.com/ or http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

Call centre haven't been answering their phones.

Is anyone in the brackenfell area having speed issues??? My problem started 2 days ago.

I have an external antenna and haven't changed any settings on my pc. my signal strength is usually 100% all the time. Now it jumps between 30%-80%.

Must say today it is much better, thank you to whoever handles iBurst's Twitter account, during the day I'm at the office so it makes no sense to call, but had I been home I would have.

3 Total breaks in service this morning since 0:00 till currently at 5am. I am on the uncapped service with normal cap remaining and thus get full d/l speeds.
Highly frustrating.

smtp.iburst.co.za issue

My mail refuses to send via the same method that I have sent my mails for the last 3 years (smtp.iburst.co.za).

I can't send my mail via iBurst anymore.

Hi r00i,

When is this issue going to be resolved?

I can receive email, but I can't send email via smtp.iburst.co.za

What does smtp.iburst.co.za resolve to? I have using email fine?

I get this error:

The host 'smpt.iburst.co.za' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.

Subject '*******'
Server: 'smpt.iburst.co.za'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0D
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 11004

I'm not the only one with this problem.

30th December 2010. My mail refuses to send via the same method that I have sent my mails for the last 3 years (smtp.iburst.co.za).
So I phone iBurst again, get a new reference number for this call and am told that Technical Support will have a look at it.
While on this call, the Support staff made me change my smtp addresses to the three different servers that iBurst has.
Another one later confirmed to me that he cannot ping smtp.iburst.co.za from his side.
