All connections upstream and all backhauls are ok on the iBurst network. I tried tracert's to the IPs and see strange destination unreachable results. Any other STO players here who can help?
 
Really, really, really, really, really slow connectivity in Cape Town

What's up with the network? Since this morning, it's been like 56k dialup, seriously. I've reset my modem, and no change. I still have over 10GB bandwidth remaining, so I'm not (supposed to be) throttled.

It took me two minutes to load this forum. :|

Mm, but it's not just this forum. Since late last night, I've had very slow browsing speeds on all sites. It sort of comes and goes, though. I also noticed my modem blinking orange earlier, which is usually never does as I live near an iBurst tower.

I am investigating any backhaul issues, although we have had a number of cable faults from upstreams this week.

Likewise, seems like MTN is doing upgrades or something. I am still waiting feedback from Ronald. Luckily its not disconnecting me :P
 
is this MTN backbone thing specific to iBurst? I really need to get away from this crap. The service is so unreliable. Great one day, and shoddy the next. Would a different ISP make a difference? I feel it would somehow. I just cant take the unreliability anymore - i never know if I'm going to be succeeding or failing when i logon.
 
Anything wrong with the network today?

Seems sluggish today, usually I don't have any issues with signal/latency.
