Iburst slow for last week ????

Hi

I have been playing Crysis wars on a server in Europe for the last few months and my average ping has been about 250ms. For this past week it has been > 450 and therefore unusable. I am only a few hundred meters away from the iburst tower and have very good signal strength. Any ideas???

I think all of the extra network traffic in the country now with the world cup is to blame. All communication networks(interwebz and cell phones) seem to have slowed down.

Last week we had a number of notifications from upstream about link failures to Europe and restoration paths being used. When I double checked they were all resolved (but I'll investigate further)

DNS server // Browsing issues

Please obtain DNS server settings automatically. Some subs using 196.30.31.173 are having browsing issues as this old DNS server has been decommisioned.

Hi,

We seem to be getting a lot of inconsistent bandwith in the Sandton area using our 15mb/s WDSL link. Browsing seems fine but uploads are VERY VERY slow; even though speedtest.net confirms a decent speed for a change. Can we blame the upstream providers or FIFA for this one ?
