*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Also having an issue, but using https for facebook seems to work

Edit:

For some stupid reason, if you're on facebook using https, some of the links direct back to http ... so you just gotta change it back to https every time. which is quite annoying really

Thank goodness, I'm not the only one having issues with Facebook.

I noticed that I can't have the "Keep me logged in" ticked and if I get a blank page, then I have to close the IE browser and open it up again and log in again.

Now, is this a facebook issue or a iBurst issue? All the other sites work fine.

Same here, and after googling, I found you have to clear cookies, but that only lasts until the next time you visit because it happens again and again you have to clear cookies.

Not happening with other people it looks like otherwise internet will be filled with reports.

Started to happen last night.

Anyone else on iburst that this is happening too?

If its iburst related (IF), then whats the deal iburst?

Yes, you aren't the only one. Apparently people using facebook on Blackberry and PC are also experiencing problems, so it's a Facebook problem.

DNS Error Temporary network problem, please retry later - Oh FFS!!!!

BTW - "Oh FFS!!!!" Stands for "Oh For Fresh Strawberries" like "DNS Error Temporary network problem, please retry later" stands for "Why don't you get that important project done right now!"

I am so sick of getting this error and I am a total noob, no scratch that you can't be a noob if you know NOTHING about something, so I am a total boob at network issues. I use iBurst Wireless, and maybe this is the problem in it's entirety, but can someone tell me why I keep getting this. And it happens often, at least twice a month we get this.

MTU is 1392, normally operates fine. WTF! (Wine Tastes Funky!)

And for those of you with crystal balls, why does it always happen when you need to do something URGENTLY For Fresh Strawberries!!!

Brachy

Looks like Ibursts' infrastructure cant handle the amount of users it carrying> Me myself and my co workers experience this at least twice a day.

Have you tried using OpenDNS or Google DNS settings? Might circumvent your DNS problem

Google DNS:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Although, I'm getting connection time outs on local sites so there must be something funky with ibursts network. Also, daily usage reports didn't go out today so maybe there are some issues at iBursts main servers.

I concur. Maybe everything is going back the way it was thanks to the Seacom lines being repaired and all!

I have the same problems today on certain international sites, pain in the but because I use them all day long and today it either hangs or gives me DNS errors check the network status and showed JHB Radio link was down but it's been green now for hours and I stll have the same problem. Had to use remote sever to connect via adsl to those international site so it's most definitely an iburst problem Mweb adsl works fine

Funny enough there's nothing n the iburst website about the problem

Just checked and it seems to be going again will see how long it last
