*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

You playing online with your CellC?

I play Guild Wars with Cell C, but yet not covered with 3G/3G+, so sitting on EDGE. Nevertheless, it is very stable 24/7, unlike iBurst. Ping to Europe is 400-600ms, America is 700+ms. Happy so far.
On 3G must be better than that.

well doesnt look like iburst gives a ***** about this forum and its members anymore.

Well, I don't think that's entirely a fair thing to say - Rooi is pretty much a constant presence, doing what he can to help with queries/complaints. Doubt he can do more than what he is doing. But for the most, I think it's all been said and done: for me it's just a case of waiting out the last few months left on my contract and I'm gone. All that seems to be left is checking in now and then when we have connection problems to see what the issue is and when it's likely to be sorted.

well I have huge problems with latency and actually found the problem that is causing it. My traffic is being routed trough America to get to europe. My other friend already got his connection fixed this morning because he had same problem (Vodacom Business) but have I heard anything from Rooigevaar? Has he said anything about my problems or even try to help me? No he has not.

All that needs to be done is put me on a different backbone eg IS, that would solve my problems. Should iburst subscribers now even to their own diagnosis to resolve problems?

Apologies but we are unable to predict or demand the route preferences of our upstreams.

Agreed, I PM rooigevaar my problem and she somehow got it fixed. :D

Investigating the issue and have seen the problem. Will ask the guys to fix.

Can you ask the guys to fix the iBurst website too, I have no idea how much bandwidth I have left for the remaining month. Thanks.
