Just did test with DNS Benchmark fromhttp://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm and majority of those shows dns queries are not being answered, or says bad domains are intercepted by provider. Of which, the most noticeable one is OpenDNS.

Seems someone has flipped the wrong switch or unplugged something at iburst,

Well, you see? There's your problem. Complete lack of interest and completely unprofessional! How could you possibly not know these things! tp3to EXPECTS it!

What I think Rooi trying to say is that their upstreams like Vodacom Business and MTN Business can change their routes to Europe/US at anytime without giving much notice, I seen this happened already before. This is out of iBurst control FYI.

Only thing iBurst can do if it becomes problematic is to change their upstream to someone else, which they are planning to do as stated above by Jan 2011.

Thank you iburst. Looks like the routing is back to normal again. Going through mtnbusiness now

Have been getting DNS errors today.

It says on some random sites:

DNS Error Temporary network problem, please retry later

The requested URL could not be retrieved

URL's tried just now was:
mybroadband.co.za
control.hetzner.co.za

URL's this morning was not working for a bit:
http://gtg.fritalk.com/
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/getting-t...anizer-for-the-gnome-desktop-environment.html

While the above was not working this morning, gmail continued to work.

After waiting a bit and refreshing it eventually comes through.

There was a temporary fibre issue that resolved when redundant paths kicked in. A refresh should clear it.

Local pings are pathetic tonight 160-280ms, what on earth is going?

Iburst you have dropped the ball again. I meen wth!

Now the traffic goes to jhb then capetown, then london (thats still good) but then it comes back through New York! What the hell? The routing was ok and now its changed again for the worst.

You should really take it up with your uplink providers or dont you care that your subscribers are suffering? :ma

Yeah there was alot of packet loss last night through the upstream above.

Btw if you were doing a tracert to blizzard battle.net, that not the right address :P It has changed.
