*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Cannot connect to the internet at all from any of my iBurst accounts (2 different accounts/modems - 1 for personal & 1 for business in different account holder names) since about 3 am this morning.

Posting this via Vodacom 3G.

Bellville, Cape Town.
Is there currently an ongoing technical issue?

Your 'Incident report' on the iBurst web site lists the following:

04/05/11 Loss of connectivity. 05/05/11 iBurst Users CRITICAL IN PROGRESS
Details Scheduled maintenance will cause disruptions with internet connectivity between Wed 11:59pm and Thu 3:00am

Well whatever the problem was it seems to have been resolved now.
I hope this fix lasts and is not temporary in nature.

I'm in plain sight of a transmitter and it has never been so bad, as since yesterday. Support @ Helpline is not much help since late yesterday afternoon.
No chance to get back in the "cloud" to carry on working.
Local seems to be "spotty OK", but anything other than dot co za, is a mess.

Still having issues. Not disconnecting anymore but it is slooooooooooooooooooooooow.
Signal is between 90 and 100% constantly, but no speed whatsoever.

Edited to add: Menlo Park, Pta

Better then I've been getting for the past week, I've not been able to get a download speed over 25kb/s and an upload speed 13kb/s something needs to be looked at in Wilgeheuwel.

Oh okay then you are in the same boat :-D

I'm having this issue since yesterday - on many sites the browser tries to open the page but it can't. If I refresh manually once or twice, the page opens. It was happening even late last night when bandwidth is usally better.

Network issues the whole week so far - how long does it take your network team to resolve issues

Honeydew Ridge Status is 'Degraded' as at 15:35:58 Slow

Local IP transit and Cape Town connectivity is problematic due to issues and outages at local national backhaul partner and transit partner.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

The local IP transit provider sorted out their problems and connectivity to Cape Town during the course of the day apologies for the inconvenience.

also getting bad lag playing online , tried battlefield bad company 2 , pings starting around 180 spiking all the way to 800 , happens on all servers , totally unplayable , i never used to have this issue playing that game before using iburst .

for the past 2-3 weeks the Iburst connection is getting worse and worse. I can normally download between 2-3GB of data per night during after hours, and for the past 2-3 weeks only about 600-700MB. To make it worse, of that 600-700MB only 200-400MB is actually files that completed The rest is incomplete downloads that timed out.

Langenhovenpark, Bloemfontein. Please "fix" the "equipment".

P.S. not sure if this is a problem or not, but have also been experiecing far more disconnects than what I have become accustomed to.

Westrand experience some related backhaul issues. This was cleared late afternoon. The link has been scheduled for migration to fibre before the end of the month.

Apologies, the last few days we have been experiencing issues with parts of the national backhaul associated with issues at our local IP transit partner. The issues should have now been cleared. Please revert if it continues.
