*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

If your download was running then DNS would not really break it, looking at the tracert above though clearly shows that something is falling asleep on the job as the tracerts are fine now. I doubt everyone after a certain hop including MyBB staff wake up to disable/firewall ICMP only to change it back after iBurst happy hours. The NOC at iBurst need to catch a wake up! Actually is there even a NOC at iBurst?

Add my name to that list, in the Midrand area, anyone else?

Please PM me your UTID.

Tx

This month iburst started out with not refreshing my package at the start of the month,
having 0 bandwidth to begin with , sorted out between rooigevaar and datapro.

On Wednesday and Thursday , I had to play League Of Legends with my iPhone vodacom connection as the iburst connection was so slow i kept timing out every few minutes , atleast the vodacom connection let me stay connected ! GRPS IS MORE STABLE THAT iBURST 1MEG WIRELESS !

Now this entire weekend the iburst network in Brakpan is worse than useless ,
not only am I on the 128kbps uncapped option , I also have 600meg left on my cap,
yet the network is slower than 128kbps , worse yet , many pages local and international time out while opening.
including iburst.co.za .
Now before someone thinks the problem is only on my pc ,
my father in law who stays 4 blocks away from me , is considering canceling his iburst as he too has been unable to play any online games this weekend due to iburst being beyond slow - useless.

I am in fact making this post from my iphone's connection as iburst cant even get the forums to load.

the problem is not my signal as im on 100% signal and my father in law has the same problem.

There are ZERO faults reported on the iburst website so no "planned" network maintenance.

Just plain useless network.

Screamer has a network in my area and I am very tempted to move , if it wasnt for the 3000 rand for new hardware I would have moved over already.

Sort your crap out iburst !

heh, the same thing has happened to me pretty much.
For the past 4 years I have been able to use iburst for games, now for the past 2 months I can barely play anything.
When I enquired about it to the other iburst guy, named iburst here on this site... I was told everything is just fine.

Same story too, signal is at 100% but the consistency of service reaching me is not 100% infact it goes down as low as 10% cos.

I just did a speed test on the iburst site.

40% download cos.
100% upload cos.

[edit] just did another test, it seems to have swapped around

73% download cos.
6% upload cos.

I am in DBN and only other access atm is on my cellular phone, and i cannot navigate Flash website on it.
Can anyone verify severity of any problems in DBN (Mount edgecombe/Stanmore)?
Thanks.

3 hour 10 minutes downtime. 73 emails in the inbox ( that require 20 minute turn around response - and me with no reduncancy built in the system)

Do you still require my UTID (or has the problem been fully resolved in my area ?)

Whats happening

Hi I live in Montana Pta and for the past 2 days I have been having real bad connections to I burst.
Nothing has changed on my side. Same Modem, Same Omni Antenna, Same PC. MY modem shows yellow/Green light on signal recieved. If i do the speed test it shows less speed than a carrior pigeon using a wheelchair.

I checked this site as it gives more info about any problems on the iburst network than the iburst official site and the only thing i saw was a issue in Boksburg . I am in PTA so Boksburg issues should not affect me.

Please let me know whats happening .

No known issue. Please PM me your UTID.

now try to say that it is my modem or my antenna or my PC causing these extreeeeme Slow speeds

Still do not see what my UTID has to do with it if this is alll of a sudden happening

SO the Permanent onmi antenna fixture ,that i have been using for almost 4 years, moved it self to a out of line location , and now I connect to multiple bases and the problem is mine ...

Why can you not be open and direct with us customers and say that you have a problem with some of your sites.
My Modem still shows a yellow/green light for recieved signal.

Please explain that .....

Please explain that .....

Plants grow, people put up buildings...

iBurst uses bounce and when your bounce changes you will need to doublecheck your placement.
