Run out of recipe ideas? Post a list of ingredients here and we'll suggest some recipe ideas for you to try. This is for fresh ingredients. Stating you have I&J crumbed fish fillets and a box of McCains frozen chips won't get you much of a recipe...

This can be for dinner, lunch, breakfast and you an suggest a type of cuisine if you want as well...

Check the edit. It's not reserved for me to suggest recipes, anyone can make a suggestion...

I have cream, sugar, milk, eggs, basic baking ingredients, and chocolate rusks...

Anything nice I can make with that as the chocolate rusks aren't too good on their own.

Ingredients: Bread, eggs, Chey-eeze, Tomatoes, Bananas, Peaches, Boerewors, Pizza bases, Butternut pumpkin, onions.

That's all I have in my fridge.

I do have fruit juice and tonic, but that's for my gin that's ontop of my fridge.

Oh yes. I also have a small tub (500g) of chicken livers and a can of diced tomatoes, chutney and a box of spaghetti.

Hey DJK, seeing as you need a boost of self-confidence in the kitchen, I'll bite :D

I have fresh chillies, onions and a load of tomoatoes which must be used in the next 2/3 days.

Obviously not listing non-perishables in the cupboard.

I await your wondrous recipe.

EDIT: I see you copped out and are now leaving it to the others to suggest recipes ... *sigh*

Simple arabiatta pasta if you have some pasta lying around.

Cover the tomatoes in boiling water after scoring the skin and leave for about 5 minutes.
Drain and cover with a towel and leave for about a minute to steam the skin loose.
Remove the skin from the tomatoes.
Fry up some garlic, the onion and the chopped chilli in olive oil and cook on a gentle heat, then add the tomatoes and turn up the temp.
Crush the tomatoes releasing the juices and a little sugar.
Fry for about 5 minutes then turn down the temp.
Cook for about 20 minutes on a lowish heat with a bouquet garni (yes not very Italian but it works) or just a bay leaf.
Cook pasta till el dente
Add fresh basil to the sauce just before serving.
Serve with shaved parmesan...

Remember that once the pasta is cooked you should drain it and fry it briefly with the sauce to coat the pasta evenly, otherwise you land up with uncoated pasta and a pool of sauce...;)

Make a Welsh Rarebit Mock Souffle.

Pre-heat the grill to med/migh
Separate the egg whites and yolk (one egg per slice of bread).
Grate the cheese and mix with a little mustard, salt and white pepper.
Mix in the egg yolks now and beat this till it's all incorporated.
Beat the egg whites in a clean bowl (or they won't stiffen) till they form stiff peaks.
Now fold a little of the egg whites into the cheese mixture retaining as much air as possible.
Now pour the cheese mixture into the egg whites and fold in really carefully, again keeping as much air in as possible.
Spoon this mixture onto toast and place under the grill until it rises and goes brown.

Serve with some fried boerewors if you want to...

Yes, go shopping or order a take away...

Anything nice I can make with that as the chocolate rusks aren't too good on their own.

If you have some vanilla then make a fresh custard (eggs, sugar, cream, vanilla pretty much and really easy to make). Search for Niccia's creme brulee thread for some recipes just don't use the shortcut recipes and be sure to use a double boiler or you're gonna land up with sweet scrambled eggs.

Then break up the rusks and pour into the bottom of ramekins, top with the custard mixture, add sugar to the top and flash grill to caramelize the tops (or use a blowtorch) and you'll have a crunchy chocolate creme brulee...
