The biggest problem you face with melee opponents like rogues / warriors, once they have that crippling poison on you or hamstring effect, you just cannot get away... unless your BW is available. Even with the slowing trap out, wingclip on the opponent, you still walk so slow with those debuff's on you, you just cannot get away and you have to take it up the bum while trying to walk at a crippling pace away, and ofc mr rogue wants you to try run away, exposing your backside to him.
Mages can blink away, druids can shapeshift and remove slowing effects, rogues can shadowstep or cloak of shadows, warlocks have numerous fears available to them. Even priests can fear stuff off them... Kiting is the key, but with warriors charging, its not always viable. Arena is very nasty for a hunter... highest I have been able to go was 1800 rating, but from there on its damn hard.
A lot of hunters have been whining that the only to make the problem a little better would be to make scatter shot trainable, and not only viable to MM hunters. Oh well... no need to whine about it... but yes I have been reading that post very closely on the EU hunter forums for a while now, and he has very very valid points. Lactose and cheeky has presented many solutions to the hunter class, but whether or not the blizzard dev's will listen and implement them... thats another story. All I know is, once they make changes to the hunter class... you have all the other classes whining again. Never ending battle.
I try and make do with what I have... I love the hunter class. I love my druid in healing spec, but my hunter is still my no1 favourite <3
And as for Petruz Pown3ing a full S3 vengefull gladiator kitted hunter with his blue / green, unenchanted un-gemmed gear... I dunno man... screenshot or it did'nt happen. And if his name was AFK - huntard ... only the huntard section is his name.
