Rear foglights driving thread

Idiotic drivers with rear fog lights on

We have a bad parking and driving thread but thoughts this needed it's own thread.

I'm seeing this more often as more cars have rear fog lights. The intensity of the lights are also increasing. Spotted a few on my drive home today from CT to Somerset West on the N2 in perfect visibility.

The pictures does not show how intense the brightness is.

Its OK sig...they'll switch them off the next time fog shows up.

...ya some people are just beyond help.

If the orange light below is on and there is no fog then you are an idiot.

The worst part is that it's not by accident as I had initially suspected, but people actually doing this on purpose.

I know this because I've now knocked on more than one person's window when on the bike to tell them their rear foglight is on and they were all too happy to inform me that they know and always keep them on.

**** the fact that it's illegal when there is no fog and that nobody can see past you at night.

Going to be driving with my brights on behind them from now on.

Well that's pretty much been my stance.

At first I just flashed and then nothing would happen. Then I would ride past with a hand signal and presume they still didn't understand.

Now when I come up behind them I just put my brights on and leave them on. If you are going to make me suffer, then I'm going to make you suffer.

I also wanted to do this. The problem is that it blinds everyone else, and then I become part of the problem, and pretty soon some bright spark will start a thread about idiots driving with bright lights all the time.

Although there are twice as many dimwits driving around with their front fogs on as well. The same law that applies to the rear-fog lights goes for the front fogs too.

I don't think I've ever been blinded by front fog lights though.
