Rear foglights driving thread

SSB since I have got you here, can I ask you an off topic question regarding investments? I make monthly contributions to some ETFs and a unit trust, the contributions are less than R30 000 per annum. Given that next year tax exempt investment accounts are coming into play do you think the obvious and logical step is for people like me to move my monthly contributions into this new vehicle so as to benefit from the exemption?

Think that's a good idea yes, but keep your current investments outside and just let them grow, even if you don't contribute. "Cashing them in" to put into the new accounts might trigger capital gains tax, and if you ever need to use/cash in the investments, use those older investments first, since withdrawing fund from the tax free account will lower your final maximum lifetime limit (which will get adjusted up at times from the current R500 000 lifetime level). If you take out say R50 000 during the time it takes you to reach the upper limit, the upper limit for you will be R50 00 less than for someone who took nothing out, for example.
 
I ride a motorbike and gf et dazzled by these morons driving with their front and back fig lights on.. So I tell the most of the idiots don't even know or care.. So much for being in full control of your vehicle then.. And a few others tell me to f off and they can do what they want.

I saw two eedjits riding with rear fog lights on yesterday, one black Polo and another one in silver :whistle:

I see it more on 4x4's and little chigos (Polos and other small vehicles) than Mercs and BMWs.
 
I can live with a polo or some of the cheaper little cars, BMW and Figo's with double fog lights tend to be more common (or noticeable).
 
Had a BMW 325 Coupe in front of me on the M1 that had his rear fogs on, the sun was still setting so they weren't hectic, but I'm pretty sure dude had no idea they are on.

Just OT:

Does anyone find it weird when people drive during the day with their main beams on? It's understandable if you drive with your dims on during the day especially if your car doesn't have DLRs, but I'm seeing many simply turning their main beam along with foglights on, looking like idiots, especially those who have cars like more recent BMWs that gave DLRs. I've seen so many BMW 3series that have both the DLRs and main beam on at 2pm in the afternoon, it's such a waste, and you find that their BMW's headlights end up blowing sooner than they should, I've seen countless Beemers with only one xenon headlamp working due to the smarty who drives it running mainbeams all day everyday. It's something I mainly see on BMWs.

Just to make sure for frame of reference:

Dims are normal headlight lights.
Park lights are park lights (meant for use while parked stationary).
Mainbeams are brights

Is that correct?
