Superbikers with GoPro's on their helmets are the biggest c***s on the roads. I actually dislike them more than taxi drivers. Their recklessness is actually shocking.

This morning I had an incident with one who must have been doing over 120km/h on Leslie Ave in Fourways. I couldn't believe how fast that bike was moving. How reckless can you be?

Anyone had any run ins with these GoPro guys? This is my third incident this year and all 3 have been in the Fourways area.

lol why super bikers with go pro's?

pretty sure some without are also c#nts, as are some car drivers, some pedestrians and in fact most of humanity.

That 3M tape on the GoPro mounts is fantastic. But at anything above 260km/h it tends to make my helmet flutter. That's why mine is mounted on the fender of my scoot. But since OP specifically mentioned GoPros on helmets... This rant excludes me as being a c_ _ _ t. Phew...

You are being reckless yourself by not looking at the road and admiring the speed of the bike

Fully agree with you. It's an unfortunate fact that most bikers are reckless, arrogant and execute dangerous lane changes, splitting and manoeuvres.
And I include my friends who are bikers in that. To find a responsible biker is a rare thing.
They all think they are the exception... and they are all fiercely defensive about it.

But I must say that there are one or two guys who I regularly pass on my way home who are extremely safe and good bike drivers and I will move over for them without hesitation.

Was is through traffic?
How do you know he was going over 120km per hour?
Do you know why most bikers try to keep their speed above the cagers?
Is your opinion based on a bad day, you don't like people on two wheels or is it the Go Pro?
If you have ONLY 3 incidents this year with "reckless Go Pro wearing Bikers" how many incidents have you had with cars?

and finally...

How are you qualified to judge if his riding was reckless or within his ability?

You must remember that if they do come up short they normally only injure themselves. So it should be a none issue for you. They are reckless knowing they are not putting anyone else's life at risk. So they don't bother me.

What are you trying to say??? Wanna take this outside Bru??

:D

By virtue of numbers alone... There are 90% more c _ _ _ _ s on 4 wheels. But you don't hear bikers bitching on a forum about cagers driving like idiots. That's life I guess. People that ride bikes do so for the thrill and freedom. Yes there is an irresponsible element. But a generalized comment such as that from the OP is a bit of a stretch. Tell you what... This arvie en route home I will wave at every 5th car. Lets see how many waves back I get? Feedback on Monday.

What do GoPro's have to do with it? These days just about everyone on a bike has one so they have evidence to prove that a car swung out in front of them without looking when the **** hits the fan.

I don't know the road in question...but 120km/h is legal isn't it? Which part made them reckless?

Also what "incident"? All I gather is you saw a guy on a motorcycle with a GoPro on his head...not sure how that's an incident.

*****

I'm not saying there aren't reckless okes on the road, there are plenty of them on bikes and in cars...but there also a general perception that bikes are always reckless for being different and using the road differently.

Do you have a problem with spilling particularly or very specific splitting?

And you ride bikes...you don't drive them. Maybe that's the problem with the reckless types...they think they are "driving" a car.

I'm a girl...

Actually yes, I'm so tiered of people complaining about the bikers.. biker this biker that.. go ride in traffic on 2 wheels for ONE day and not have an incident where someone in a cage almost takes you out because they are to busy trying to find something to tweet about on their phones.

There are still way more car accidents than bike accidents, yes some of them are chops but you can't single one person out because you THINK you know he is being reckless...

Dude, don't come soek with me. I can like to be an Opel driver. I will stuff up your bicycle and plastic helmet with one vuis. :p

Freekin tricycle jockey! :D

I guess it's the speed of the splitting. Some guys go a little bit faster than the 4 wheel traffic, but are still able to make their way steadily through the jam. That's fine.
But then you get the idiots that just come barreling through, and woe betide anyone who wants to change lanes, they will get a firm uplifted finger, or even worse a broken rearview mirror for it.
