The problem is my quick draw does not work with the R2 button.
It works on the alternate setting that is L2 I think.

It just preps the Quick draw circle but the minute I press completely down it just does not do anything unless I have to press another button to activate the shots that I dont know off, but R2 alone does not work

I understand, but do you think it is because your controller is faulty? Or is it a general problem?

I dont know as it works for some and others not

So to illustrate this video below is my problem

It preps and then nothing.

A lot of people recommend to change controllers as it is just some controllers that is the issue

What is the fuss about quick draw anyway? Don't think I've even used it. Unless I misunderstand the notion.

The problem is there is a couple of missions that depends on this mechanism and part of the game is to duel with other NPC and not sure if it will play part in the online. Its just frustrating that this is an issue

I know the Elite controller had similar issues on Xbox One when setup in "short pull" mode so it seems their sensitivity calibration is just a little bit too fine and does the same even on PS4.

I'm also currently playing RDR2 and AC: Odyssey, fantastic games! Both of them! If only I had more time...

I finished Odyssey last night, so now more time for RDR.

Ok so it seems it is my controller.
I can prep the quick draw circle and then if I press hard (White knuckle hard ) and rotate my finger over the R2 it will then start the Dead eye draw.

Will see if I can get a extra controller from a friend and see if the problem goes away if it does..... then I will have to buy a new controller then as I will be playing this game for a while.

Does it normally take this much to kill one person? I came across an npc that challenged me to a bottle-shooting contest. After I lost he wanted money I owed, which I didn't want to give. Had to reload twice I think, before he dropped.

Got it yesterday and so far so pretty impressed. Can't wait to play some more tonight which is rare for me now days with single player games.
Had to get a console as well as I had previously sold my PS4 as it wasn't being used. Tried to resist but being sick at home I needed something light to do. Ended up getting a Xbox One S as it was over R2k cheaper for the console+RDR2 deal and my intention is to sell the console as soon as I finish the game. One thing worth mentioning is that I was shocked how good the game looks on the 'cheap xbox' even though I'm used to a high end PC. Amazing stuff.

It’s a phenomenal game just a pity that the default controls are absolutely shyte.

You need to change them a lot to make the game enjoyable.

Controls for R* games are always schit. Like holding A (Xbox) or X (PS4) to run...

Nothing wrong with the mouse & keyboard controls on PC

Was watching a video the other day of a guy not willing to wait for the pc release of rdr2 so purchased a one x and one of those adapters to plug a mouse & keyboard into, keyboard was ok but the mouse was way to slow and laggy to play with.

Was waiting for the dust to settle from the launch day (I don't do launch days no more) to buy it for the PS4. But if it's coming to PC I'll just wait.
