Red Dead redemption 2

Who else have the issue with quick draw on the PS4.
I use the standard layout where R2 is the prep and execute of the Quick Draw.
With me it does not work I can prep the quick draw until the circle is full and then when you press R2 completely down it does not do anything.

Yet when I change the controls to alternate settings for the control then the L2 works like a charm every time.
Softpaw settings dont work for me as the quick draw then sits on R1 and I dont think R1 has the light press and hard press functionality.

I have read at some forums that its either a issue with old controls but my console is only a year old now and others did mention it is a bug and Rock star is looking into it for now, so hope fully the bug will be fixed in the next update.


Is there regular updates as in scheduled every month updates?

So far the game is awesome, I have played since launch and have a good couple of hours behind me but no real progress in story wise as I just roam the west to find new stuff :)

I'm using the standard layout and I had problems the first time one makes use of quickdraw in the game, however, going forward it seems fine.

Is yours throughout the game?

Yes so far, I am only at act 2 as story progress go
I tried to "Practice" in the will just randomly and it is till an issue, unless I am going to be forced to buy a new controller...... I hope not.

I will wait until either online comes out or the first patch and see if it sorts the issue out for me.
Luckily you dont use to much quickdraw in the game yet.

I had to do the Jamie mission about ten times until it worked
 
I've had no problems with quickdraw, didn't realise it was an issue:oops:
I'm on Act 3 at the moment, this game is beautiful!:love:

So what you trying to tell me is that I will have to get a new controller then?
 
It’s a phenomenal game just a pity that the default controls are absolutely shyte.

You need to change them a lot to make the game enjoyable.

The problem is my quick draw does not work with the R2 button.
It works on the alternate setting that is L2 I think.

It just preps the Quick draw circle but the minute I press completely down it just does not do anything unless I have to press another button to activate the shots that I dont know off, but R2 alone does not work
