1. It's as easy as any other phone.
2. Depends why you want to root. If you want to debloat it, there's a tool available on XDA which works very well and doesn't require root. If you want to install a custom ROM, the general consensus is that the official ROM is still the best. Only problem I've found with the official ROM is the notifications, which is improved on custom ROMs.
3. No idea about charging.

Just an FYI, I bought the black Note 7 128GB from Takealot, and it came with a gel case and screen protector, even though the website says nothing about that

The non-pro one is priced better. And I see they ship via priority line, which means you most likely won't pay any duties.

Im really enjoy this note 7, and the battery life is amazing! The only issue I have is with the notification bar only showing the notifications briefly before disappearing, meaning you cant see if you have any whatsapp messages or emails for example, until you swipe down to see all notifications.
