Relationship help thread 3.0... (AAAAAAAAAND ITS GONE!)

Well thank you for the last couple of comments... actually you are right. I am going to scratch this ex.. that's what she is.. she is an ex and will stay an ex.. besides i would never get back with a girl after she had a guy after me..

So sorry for people who think im TROLLING! im not... I am 25 and yeah I do need some relationship tips because my ***** is all up.. but the new girl is extremely hot.. maybe a little cray but I guess that's normal sometimes... anyway. thanks for that. the ex will stay ex.. I don't even have her number.. just get instagram and twitter stalks.. but yeah. thank you for the "adult" views on this guys...

Sorry for acting "immature" ... I'm just not a boring person bud.

You're making it hard for me to keep supporting you. First of all she's not the crazy one here. There's nothing wrong with keeping in touch with your ex, but having extensive conversations and contact with them is not on. Especially when you know your new gf is sensitive about it. You're telling her you'll never get back with your ex, but your actions say otherwise. Either you want to be a player  or you want to be with this girl. You need to take a step back and decide.

The first of your posts that I can fully agree with.

My vote is on Option A, after our good friend Random Hero repeatedly described himself as 'Alpha'. Yeah right, coz all Alphas go online to ask relationship advice, and whine a lot while looking for affirmation. Sorry, I'm not buying into that anymore.

I am *totally* in the new GF's camp, and hope she can sort HIM out or leave his ass before she gets hurt (again, by the sounds of it).

Good luck Random Hero, but please do us all a favour and don't start a new thread for every week in this non-relationship. Let's talk after you've been married for a few years about your dedication to her, once you've got something to prove for it.

I got some great advice from you guys, but I do not understand this animosity now? I'm not a two face person... geez man

So why should what people say about you here upset you? We're just random people you're talking to, so if you have enough confidence in yourself you shouldn't take it personally or care.

Well I am not a player.. and I am not keeping contact with the ex.. I actually do this thing where I pretend that she is dead and all that is left of her is what is in my memory. She phoned me the other night telling me she wants to send this thing I gave to her, which is very sentimental to me back. So that's why she phoned, but then we just started to speak about anything else. i'm guessing the conversation was nice. and maybe she started to miss me or something when she felt like texting me and telling me about this dream she had of me.

TAKE NOTE: I was never secretive about my ex texting and calling me. i told the new girl that this ex calls me or texts me every couple of weeks. I ignore the texts and sometimes i pick up the phone, due to concern (like what if she is in real danger and needs help)

I have been open with the new girl from the start. I told her about the ex. obviously this annoys the new girl. I told her I just ignore her. but she insisted that I text my ex telling her that I have a new girl. and I did this. the ex replied with a rude text and phoned me a couple of times directly after that and I ignored it! I am not a dick... I do not get this ?

Its not that it bothers me its just that the are wrong... registerforfree and Scott has got a misconception of me and even though we are all anonymous randoms on the internet, I would like to convince them otherwise.. it does not matter to me what people think of me.. but if there is a negative connotation. I will try and correct them. i am a nice guy.

Yeah but i explained the crap about needing advice and why I do. I wont hurt this girl.. lol wont start a new thread on this topic.. but who knows maybe I do lol...

Cause I get good advice from some of you... ;)

The problem is that you essentially sound like you're whining "oh please, help me, please explain to me" and when we give you advice you just outright tell us you don't want to follow it.

You have no business staying in contact with your ex. You've said yourself that you will never be friends with her, yet for some reason you also refuse to break contact. Clearly you still have unresolved feelings for this ex and you are in no position to enter a new relationship until you work through them. You cannot expect your new girlfriend to be happy with you having 45min conversations with an ex you are not friends with. I wouldn't be happy if my partner did that either.

If you care about your new partner's feelings, then it's time to get over this ex. You broke up for a reason. Cut her out of your life. You are no longer part of each other's lives.

I am doing this.. I just said I wont block her. but I never make contact with her.

Why do you sometimes pick up the phone? You said you don't want to be friends with her, so you need to stop entertaining her when she calls you by chatting with her, she's more than likely reading it as there's still a chance of getting back together.

Too much drama in your life and I'm inclined to think you're the cause of it. Two girls are upset here and the common denominator is? Did you tell this girl that your new gf asked you to tell her you have a gf or did you tell her you have a gf and she should back off? There's a difference.

Also don't just ignore this girl. Call her and tell her very bluntly that she needs to stop texting and calling you. You don't need to be rude about it, just tell her you're sorry if you gave her the wrong impressing, but you're not interested in getting back together and she should stop contacting you. No need to mention your new gf as this gives the impression that the only reason you don't want to talk to her is because this new gf is FORCING you.

If she keeps on after this then like others have said, block her.

But he believes there's nothing wrong with her messaging him because she's seeing someone.

I don't know. I don't think he's a bad guy, just incredibly naive for a 25 year old. Like, imagine-if-Ichigo-got-a-girlfriend naive.

Ordinarily I wouldn't see anything wrong with keeping in touch with an ex, but in this case it seems to be the cause of a lot of problems.

If him and the ex were friends before the new girlfriend came along it wouldn't be an issue, but in this case he said him and the ex could never be friends. In my books that means they have no more business with each other.

The guy I'm seeing isn't friends with his ex and I too would be upset if he suddenly started receiving text messages telling him he's dreaming about him and having 45min conversations with him on the phone. It doesn't matter whether he 'ignores' them or not.

I don't see the problem with staying in contact with a ex. Some people have amicable partings.

He's already said he can never be friends with her though. He's keeping contact for in case she gets in trouble. Because apparently she doesn't have friends and family and needs an ex who she is not friends with to come protect her.
