Since this morning I am unable to play any streams. It picks up all channel, even ask me stream quality to play, but nothing. This is on Libreelec.

Everything else like Netflix is working fine.

Only change on my side is that I created a new dstv streaming account and is the first time Im using this account on kodi. It works fine in the normal dstv app on my phone and androd box.

Already tried reinstalling both Slyguy repo and dstv addon. Any other ideas?

If you can test on android or windows too. I only use it on android TV.

So I gave two streaming accounts. One is linked to my dstv decider. Thus one is still working on kodi.

The other one is a streaming only dstv account that I created yesterday. Thus one is nit working on kodi, but works on pc vya briweser, android dstv app, etc.

Does anyone use a streaming only package on kodi?

Yes I have dstv premium streaming only package.

Kodi addon works really well for me.

@cavedog

Do you maybe have any knowledge of how to make VLC player an option through Kodi? I tried following internet advice but I can't seem to get it right, reason is I want to chromecast it from PC to TV.

No sorry I don't. I use the default player in kodi. Didn't have issues before.

I even tried a fresh install now on rpi4 running lebreelec. Same issue. It loads the menus with channels etc, but dont want to play the streams. It is working on the official dstv apps on cell,android box. Also website on my pc. I also have not reached max allowable devices yet.

I uploaded log here if anyone can assist

I had the same issue as above for another user, looks like some logins require to use the new license end-point which is limited to the concurrent stream limit. It may be A/B testing. His eventually switched back and allowed the old end-point.

I suspect everyone will eventually be moved to the new endpoint which enforces the concurrent stream limit in a very smart way that I don't think could be bypassed unless somehow the token was shared between all kodi instances.

My plan is to add the new mode and have a setting to enable it until its enforced everywhere

OK thanks for confirming. So will this workaround then work in my case, i.e. allow me to play the streams?

its not a workaround, its basically just implementing what their website / apps already does.
It just means you will be limited to one device streaming at a time

@cyrus123
can you access https://k.slyguy.xyz on your browser? it should just show a single file.
If not, then I suspect your ISP has blocked it

i got the dstv streaming packages on two new emails however it just blanks out when trying to play on kodi, i did the complete delete and reinstall but still nothing. Somehow my friends login still plays on kodi.

Looks like they might have finally found a way to curb pirate iptv streams because the previous streaming limit didn't work.

If they stop it on my account I'm cancelling it.

If I may ask, when do you think this option will be available in the addon?

i prefer kodi because the normal app on my mi box is terrible but i guess any new sign ups for the streaming package has this block on. my friend still has the decoder premium package so i guess its a matter of time before they block them.
