[RELEASE] DStv Now KODI Add-on

Hi

Anyone have this issues when using the DSTV Now Kodi Addon using Windows OS?
Basically you need to wait +/- 90 seconds between stopping a stream and starting a new one.
The addon will tell you how many seconds left before can retry.

And yes - the addon adheres to the concurrent stream policy.
They enforce this cleverly at the Widevine server

Thats a known problem with the current version of the addon. It was initially the reason why a semi-working version was not released. For now you just have to accept it.

Ok, thanks Tinuva, I was all excited when SlyGuy (Matt) managed to fix the DSTV Now addon, now this :-( It seems to work fine on Android boxes, but not when using KODI on Windows platform. And the worse thing is I have a legit DSTV account so its not like Im trying to get a freebee lol.

Is there still a possibility of a solution?
 
A question for those who know how to program Kodi addons, reason why asking here is I know the maintainer of the Kodi addons is a poster here.

This is regarding New Zealand addons

Would it be possible to combine the channels from two separate Kodi addons into one addon.
For example SlyGuy's Sky Go NZ (Use my fathers account details) addon has quite a lot of the premium Sky channels, (Widevine) but don't have FTA, which I have access from the freeview NZ addon. Or from a IPTV FTA NZ server I'm running.


If it were possible to combine the channels, and furthermore have the EPG, and everything.
That would essentially full IPTV Sky NZ product, that I don't even think Sky NZ offers

I would like to add a MAC address to the DSTV Now addon, but I seem to get a Key Error message when I try playing a channel.

Is there a specific format the MAC address has to be added in the field provided? eg XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX or XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX? I tried all already but I still get the error.

You are replying to a super old post.

Just make that box empty or reset the plugin to defaults. Then dont set that field. It will generate one for you and then you wont have an issue.
