1 reason is you can run dstv on any cheap tv box that is not compatible with the dstv app.
Another is some people are kodi fans and have their whole media collection indexed in Kodi and also try run all their streaming from there as far as possible without having to leave Kodi. Kodi also provides a unified interface and control sub system whether you are playing local media or doing streaming using addons.
Personally I also prefer the EPG interface you get in conjunction with the iptv merge addon - much better than the dstv app

At a time the add-on could bypass the 1 stream restriction.
That passed.
So a second stream allocation doesn't change anything really, just one more legit stream on Kodi.
Still don't see the use for the add-on.
Android TV works and looks just fine.

There are devices like Fire TV Sticks/Cubes that are not Google Certified that require the Kodi Addon to be able to access DSTV Stream

Probably shouldn't say this but it also bypasses the dynamic ad insertion they using on the app.

I looked on the kodi forums and github and even matt's website but couldn't really see.
On to the actual question.... Is either 1080p or the play from start features available ? If not, think it would get added ?
