Logmein Free is my favourite. And yes, it can work between any MS operating systems. I often use it between XP and Win7 and even from Ubuntu to MS.

kilo did that to my system and it was amazing to see. i have XP but don't know what kilo was using.

Thanks guys. Trying Teamviewer now. Keeps popping up a sponsored session box which is annoying.
Will try Logmein next.

Only one I've ever used is UltraVNC, but if it's a closed network, I just view Network in Computer and right-click on the machine and click Connect with Remote Desktop connection. Works for me between Win7 and WinXP, as long as the Remote settings are correct

Teamviewer for WAN and Radmin for LAN, Ultravnc gave me too many hassles so it's now our backup.

Teamviewer FTW. The software retails for somewhere in the region of R4000 for a lifetime license so I'm quite prepared to put up with the sponsored session pop up rather than fork out R4k..
