Diesel will run in fwd and when needed 4wd kicks in.

So sully specced top of the range isd R500K. Fahrk me, it's a 1.6 Turbo Diesel man.

My wife has the Qashqai 1.6 turbodiesel with auto transmission on which the Diesel Dynamique is based and we paid more than R100k less at the beginning of this year. Ours has the 19" rims which is an option on the Renault and all of the other features available on the Dynamique model except for the touchscreen infortainment and navigation.

I was quoted R9K for an equivalent CASKA infotainment unit with navigation for which Nissan wants R22K.

Renault SA doubles Kadjar range to six derivatives

Renault South Africa has added three new derivatives to its local Kadjar range, expanding the line-up to six variants.

Three months after the local launch of the French brand’s latest crossover, it has added three new models, each sporting the Dynamique trim level and each in front-wheel drive flavour.

The first is powered by the automaker’s familiar 1,5-litre turbodiesel, which sees it slot in below the 1,6-litre dCi range-topper. This mill makes 81 kW and 260 N.m, and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

The second newcomer employs the same engine, but links it to a (dry) six-speed dual-clutch transmission. In this application, the 1,5-litre powerplant makes peak torque of 250 N.m.

The final new derivative uses the same 1,2-litre (96 kW and 205 N.m) featured in two of the launch models, but now married to a (wet) seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
