Repairs to Microsoft Surface 2 PRO

You disagree, but it is better sell under Microsoft brand, can you see my point? :)
 
I understand the point you are making. But I disagree with your reasoning and conclusion. Microsoft's participation in the launch is to endorse the Windows for Bing element. Since it's a vital component in the overall product and user experience, it's entirely appropriate that they do so. But it doesn't mean Msft has anything to do with the hardware. It doesn't.
 
You wrote there was no press release. I submitted a proof that it was a press release indeed. Your objection to the reasoning didn't uphold either. If you still disagree, it perhaps to the conclusion, but look at user response on this forum, many users think Nextbook a Microsoft product, this is a fact. :)

Press release is for invited journalists (like Staff Writer), not everyone from the street. Are you a journalist on the MS invitation list?
 
I see where the confusion comes. The term Press Release generally refers to an official statement by the person or organisation releasing the statement (often through a PR agency) to the media for publication. You are referring to a Press Conference, or a Media Briefing, which is attended by the Fourth Estate (journalists) who then write their own stories, as is the case with the MyBB story you link to.

Microsoft SA's RSS feeds for Press Releases is here. It has no such release, but is does give you an idea of the format of Press Releases as opposed to simple Press Articles written by independent journalists (who can and sometimes do get things wrong).

I can see how people who are not aware of these distinctions can be misled by the press articles. However, I don't think there is any intention to mislead, at least not by Microsoft. On the contrary, they are very careful about being very accurate and protecting the name and brand.

So you are essentially saying that Staff Writer got it wrong as there were no intentional misleadings at the Press Conference (you dind't attend)? :)
 
I am saying your understanding of the device and its provenance and origin is incorrect. The hardware has nothing to do with Microsoft. How your misunderstanding arises is in part due to a sequence of events and their reporting by others which is equivocal.

Yes, in fact you did. It would be fair if Microsoft/Makro made proper Press Release, so everything were documented properly.
