I'm in the market currently for buying an inverter and battery.

Being super-duper paranoid of fly-by-night companies, scams, etc... I tend to research the shops, their trust ratings, forum posts, user experiences, etc..

I find that there is no central place where people can, with a good amount of certainty, know they're buying from a legit company.

Can we perhaps use this thread to give feedback on good experiences you've had with power/solar suppliers?

It will help people so much.

Powerforum store is fantastic. Segen Solar and Geewiz also very good. Might be easier to list the companies that are likely to be scammers rather than list legitimate companies?
Powerforumstore highly recommended by many forum members. Isn't Segen Solar a wholesaler? I don't think the public can buy from them.

@DuracellBunny he installed my system and 100% happy with it and his support
@DuracellBunny, do you have a website where people can buy stuff?

Looks like it. Happy to be corrected.

I get you, but those will list themselves hopefully. I come from the POV of me browsing 'shopping' on google and seeing all these stores with various pricing for the same item. Would be nice to know which ones are worth my time.

Yes, very good pre and after sales service, the who I would recommend them to anyone.

I wonder if @DrJohnZoidberg ended up buying anything from them.

Still busy on the website but tell me what you need or interested in and IL put together everything for you, from the inverter to the screws.

Installs in other provinces I can help with also.

@PhreakBoy adding your experience with gwstore to the list if you don't mind.

Bumping this and adding livestainable, who I've personally bought my inverter from.

You can add

Current Automation / Rectifier.coza / Victron
Legit but your 5 year warranty ain't worth the paper its written on - rather tell you to claim house insurance than honour warranty

the terms and conditions for warranty on all lithium solar batteries are to protect the supplier only .you will almost never succeed in a claim which says to me the technology still has a long way to go to be really user friendly .especially the temp ranges and penalizing of warranty times .

Ja I also had a sub-optimal experience from them, wanted to charge me for a site visit
Skinflint Swanson told them not to bother.
