Hello...
First post here, let me introduce myself.
Im a 22 year old portuguese student, currently living on my own and relying on a wireless connection throu the E220 with a local provider called kanguru.
My problem is simple... as part of the "deal", we users only get a mere 6 GB of traffic (both up and download) each month, which by today standards is really small... I rely on VoIP for some communications and this puts a heavy load on the counters, plus watching a youtube video now and then, and bam, I'm on the limit and paying throu my eyes. Its a 3.2 mbps connection but it performs at like 1.5 mbps on it's inspired days. The whole deal costs 40 euros a month, more than 60 american dollars, which to me is quite expensive, and adding that the ridiculous over usage fees which are 2.5 €/100 MB, which can be a lot.
I would also like to mention an incident where, on one of the many months i exceeded the allowed bandwith, I checked their counters and cross checked with mine. Theirs were at least 400 MB ahead of mine, so I called support. After a 1 hour call which was like 90% holding time, they said I was right and they took those 400 MB off and apologized. Then called me the next day to see if things were OK. I smell mischief or stupidity.
What I'm wondering is, as the title suggests, if there's a way to use the modem and delete the counters' data once in a while?... like after a big call. I know this is probably illegal and fraudulent but I feel scammed out of my money with the service, wished I knowed before I signed the contract.
Hope you guys can help me.
Thanks a million
