Resident Evil 4 Remake

I was one of those who never got to play the original RE4 when it first came out, played it on Oculus Quest last year and really enjoyed even though the graphics and some gameplay elements felt a bit dated (which it obviously was). Now it seems the long awaited RE4 remake is coming out in March next year. If it's anything like the RE2 and RE3 remakes then it should be pretty good!

Enjoyed RE4 even though the pc version was a terrible, messy port. One of the worst I've played. At least it was far better than rivals Silent Hill 4 and 5 that came out around that time. Was also the last RE I played. I might try this when it comes out.

Also, it sounds like Silent Hill 2 is getting a remake as well.

I also played the original and even though I love my horror games and I love the Resident Evil franchise, I didn't enjoy 4 all that much. It was alright.

Should be. Although it seems they're going to make it more horror-aligned like RE2 than blockbuster action with scary bits like the OG RE4.

I hope the sections with Ashley won't be as unbearable as in RE4 with the "Leon!" shrieking every 2 seconds...

But I'm still hyped tho, looking forward to it.

Also, it sounds like Silent Hill 2 is getting a remake as well.

Seems like many older hits are getting remakes or old, near abandoned franchises/series are getting sequels/revamps.

Is pretty good.

P.S I've never played Silent Hill 2 before.

I've only played 2, 3 and 4. SH2 is by far the best.

Tried SH5 but it was a buggy mess so I didn't make it far.

Btw if you guys want a really cool, creepy horror game I highly recommend Home Sweet Home. Brilliant game and it is actually genuinely scary at times. Much better than any Silent Hill and Resident Evil I've played. Haven't tried the sequel yet though
