Does anyone here know of or have access to a 'funny' Resignation letter or 2?

In true gdiza style, I plan to leave my current job with everyone having a good laugh.

The aim is for it to not be rude, but to actually be funny but also taken seriously when I had it in.

Any help in finding this will be greatly appreciated.

Just watch out, your boss might not find it funny, never burn your bridges

Dont do it, be serious polite etc.
U might find it a little amusing, but chances are ur boss might see it/take it the wrong way..

Burning bridges is never a good thing,

No offense...

But I hate people that say that... you leaving your company, for greener pastures, they obviously cannot accommodate your needs or wants. Do you need that bridge??

Wherever you go, never look back!;)

Please, be serious in your resignation letter. It reflects professionalism.

You can be a funny smart-@ss at your farewell party.:D

Professionalism in this place?

Come on guys, work with me!

This place is a joke! Everyone here knows it - I'm sticking to my character and leaving with a smile on my face.

I didn't say it must be rude, I want it to be serious but funny too.

I see ur point, but what if someone phones for a reference, they present ur resignation letter to ur new employer along with with some really negative remarks like he never toko job seriously etc that back it up...

Ha!!

Wait till the "new company", phones the "old company" for a reference, then you will see what those bridges mean. Remember you work for someone, if you want to accommodate your wants and needs, start your own business

Ok then,

Here is a line you can use in your letter: "If *********s could fly, this place would be an airport" drum roll please! badda-bing!

Well you can always be funny about it, and make a joke here and there, and at the farewell party rip into everyone, but keep the letter dignified and professional. Remember, even though they are treating you like crap now, they did appoint you above others, so you can atleast treat them with respect, and then get drunk on your farewell party and rip into everyone (not the boss though)

New company doesn't need to phone Old company for reference. :D

I have to agree with some of the posts. Remain professional, even though you might not want to go back to that company...you just never know what the future holds.

It doesnt matter how cr_p an organisation is, your reputation is at stake.

Ok so Gdizas boss pays him more to stay or worst holds him back and adds an extra month working time before he can join the new company, doesnt pay him for that month, things get ugly he leaves, boss is annoyed has to find someone else thats never as good.... will he give a good reference?

I did that once. They didn't quite get the joke.

then go bananas, who cares anyway? I mean its just a little self restrain that could potentially affect a future position...but hey who cares, its about being you.

On topic, a guy left here once, was busted for doing coke.
He wasnt dismissed imediatley but was aksed to leave.
It wasnt a surprised that he used the word "line" many times!!:p:p
Line manager, Line at the canteen, phone line....:D

Well unfortunately if he has signed a contract stating that he needs to give more than 1 month notice, guess what.

I have been offered counter offers numerous times, and have never excepted a single one, I also do not flick my nose at them, blowing them a big fat raspberry on my way out the door. Its called common courtesy

I have left jobs with great references, but lets take ur case, boss is an idiot, gives crap reference ok, but if he has a resignation letter that is slightly colourful or could be seen in the wrong way surely it makes it worse?

Why would u take even the chance of potentially not getting a job in the future simply to type a "funny" resignation letter? Is it really worth it?
