[Resolved] - Cool Ideas billing screw-up - Back charging me

It doesn’t matter if the OP knew his speeds weren’t downgraded and decided to milk it as long as possible (can’t prove he knew, it’s speculation). It would make him a crappy person for not reporting it but that’s not illegal and it still boils down to Cool Ideas stuff up and the OP is not required to pay for the ISP’s mistake.

Just a quick question, can anyone reset their Vumatel portal password? I want to login and see what is there but clicking the "Forgot Password" button is not sending me any link. Maybe I need to wait 30 minutes.

Definitely won't be changing ISPs...

As I expected, this was nothing to get upset about, easily sorted. Just saddens me how people judged you on this.

Agreed. I have no doubt that those that judged him do not understand ethics. They are probably the types that give you a quote and then change the price after doing the job :D

SJWs, and the same that are going mad on Twatter right now about stuff

All these people raging about the op should pay for the extra speed on the flip side if the ISP's speeds went slow for days should they pay the user back for the "lost" speed that has been paid for?

Ain't gonna happen... never!

Again, who were all these people you and Arty are referring to? I didn't see one person "raging"

The "Oh, you must have know you were still on the higher speed, I call shens, shame on you" people.

That was raging? Anyway, while I too also doubted he would not not have known, I still believed CISP was liable for the money. And I see CISP did the right thing very quickly. Good on them.

Getting all self righteous on the on the Internet is pretty close.

We don't actually know what Cisp did seeing that hasn't been mentioned?

I still think its pity you have to resort to this type of online post to get your problems sorted. 1st prize would've been that they don't contact you at all and fix it themselves. 2nd prize would've been that you first contact them privately and they sort it out immediately with no fuss.
