Hi.
I discovered my very old iPhone 3.
I tried to restore it but couldn't. It runs through about 80-90% of the process and an error message 1015 pops up in iTunes.
I understand that I cannot use the OS I have on my iPhone 8+ but was hoping that I could get it working again.

When I start it up, the connect to iTunes with cable is on the screen.

I will appreciate any pointers you may have.

Download the ispw file, press amd hold and click on restore and select the ispw file.

Also Google error 1015. I recall that it is some weird issue that can be fixed.

Thank you very much. I searched for and downloaded the ispw file form iPhone 3 and followed instructions to install it. It almost complete and then the same error. According to Apple, error 1015 means the following:
"If you see error 1015 or a message that "the required resource can't be found," your device might have unauthorized iOS modifications (jailbreaking). Or you might be trying to install an earlier version of iOS (downgrading)."
The phone was never jailbroken. I will try to install older versions to see if I can get it up and running.

Thanks again.
