Restore Points.

i thought i would be clever and clean my pc from programmes i don't use and it backfired on me.

After deleting some stuff my pc did something and would not boot fully to my desktop. what i did was go to my 2nd harddrive through my BIOS screen and then search for a restore point which i got in February 2009 and when it was rebooting up after restoring itself i swopped harddrives back again and now everything seems to be working ok.

Now my question is the following. have i lost all my downloads or updates which have happened between the beginning of february till now?


as a side note i think a restore point on any pc is a must.

actually those files are still there but it belongs to windows now*evil laugh*.How big was the space used for restore points.

well go to mycomputer..you on xp right. go to properties on mycomputer(right click)then go to system rstore tab and tell me what the space is used for system restore.

well my friend you need to start thinking about a recovery program.

ahh ha i think its been mentioned on the forum before, so i could copy this hard drive onto the other hard drive i have also in the box and they would be the same?
