No one has said they will deny your citizenship application. Not sure where you are getting that?
What is being said is that unless you first apply to retain your SA citizenship and include the letter in your application, they inform the SA government and you lose your SA citizenship.

As for online forms, I have no idea. I applied manually at the embassy.

What you're demonstrating is a South African requirement. The UK has no such requirement.

I do not know about the UK. Can only go by what user tilt said on page 2, where he indicated he had to go through the same process as me

Apologies, I thought the .au website was an Australian government website. I see it is a South African government website

Of course it is a South African government requirement. No one is disputing that.
What I am claiming is that the foreign government is aware of it and cooperating.
The Italian embassy told me I needed to provide them with a letter from Home Affairs for Retention of South African citizenship. And as you can see by the link I posted, it is even in the documentation from the Italian embassy

I was told by the embassy that I need the letter if I wished to retain Citizenship.
They could be wrong, but I suspect they know more about this than joe random on MyBB

Nobody has disagreed that the Home Affairs rules are that you need a letter for dual citizenship. The argument is that other Countries do not make it a condition of offering Citizenship, and that the HA requirement is probably unconstitutional.

It is also easier to comply than going for the other aproach of a Constitutional court challenge.

The Government hasn't had a particularly good run at the CC on their interpretation of laws.

And yet you've been told multiple times there is NO requirement by the UK to do so. There is an SA government rule about retaining SA citizenship, the UK couldnt care if you give it up, keep it, or have 10 different citizenships, and no, they don't report the fact to SA that a person has taken up UK citizenship.

Are you just posting nonsense in order to troll this thread?
