Yeah me too. Read somewhere that in Ron's MI universe, MI3, 4 and the Telltale series doesn't exist and is not part of the original canon because they were not Ron's games. But then Ron made it clear that MI3 is part of his canon which is why Murray is in the game. Makes no sense right now unless this game takes place sometime after the start of MI3.

Murray's appearance is confusing everything lol.

Personally I would have preferred a game that takes place after the Telltale series but that's just me. Will have to wait and see how the story plays out. Hate when they ignore previous games in a series.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ron takes a bite out of the multi verse trends and sends Guybrush to an alternate reality through means of some Voodoo spell.

Replayed the remastered ones a few years back and Curse of Monkey Island still holds up pretty well.

I've played the games many times over the years (especially MI3) and Murray is one of the best characters in gaming history so it's all stuck in my head.
 
Monkey Island 2 is still my favourite with 3 a very close second.

My favourite part of 3 will always be "El Pollo Diablo"

MI3 is by far my favourite and one of the best adventure games of all time.

MI2 is a distant second followed by MI1, MI4 (which i love as well. Game is massively underrated imo and gets too much hate) and TOMI. Tales of Monkey Island is still great and a good return to the series but it's my least favourite because of the Telltale format and the story is pretty average compared to the rest.
 
man I've played and finished ALL of the Monkey Island games, so I'm so stoked to see that another one is coming. I wasn't sure this would actually ever happen! Only question is how do I replay the games? Thanks to Steam I got 1 & 2 as part of some bundle, but 3 I think I had on disks which I no longer have, and who knows if you can still access your Telltale library (will have to check).

I can't wait for this. I read about Monkey Island as a kid during the SNES/Mega Drive/Genesis days.

Finally played it on Xbox 360 when the Special editions for MI 1 and MI 2 were released.
These are true gems.
 
Interview with Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman. It's a long one lol. The game starts right at the end of MI2 when you arrive at the amusement park. They can't really explain why Murray is in the game haha.

Every MI has it's own unique art style but I just think this looks terrible. Still looking forward to the game though.

Same and it still looks decent enough today. Could do with a slight remaster just to smooth out the jagged edges a bit but keep the original art style.
