Review: Avicii - True

I've been editing this review the last five minutes, trying to capture the essence of the album.
Words fail me...not really.

True offers an audio experience beyond compare with each song capturing a unique style and feel with a wide variety of genres.
It is rare that I find an album that is able to capture me and entertain me throughout.

His reimagining of country and soul genres allows the bridging of a generational gap in music and this is strengthened by offering exceptional vocals through soul artist Aloe Blakk and Audra Mae.

The one song he shines for me is "Heart on my Sleeve". A visceral instrumental piece melding classical guitar and strings with new club beats to prove that music is without boundaries.

If you do not have album, you are missing out.

He brought out a 'promo mix' near the beginning of last year with most of these tracks on it.
Heart on my sleeve sounds much better in the promo mix with some decent vocals, a fair bit of other tracks also sound better to me in the promo mix and even his live shows than on the album
