Review: Nokia N8

Does anyone know how I can get my contacts transferred to N8? The notes assume the previous phone was Nokia as well.
 
Could you tell me how to get my contacts from Laptop onto my Nokia8?
 
It really is a great phone. Had a chance to compare the N8 to the Galaxy and I was mighty impressed with the N8. At the the end of the day, I feel they are different phones for different folks, and it's a matter of each person choosing what's right for them. Of all the phones out there, this is the one for me.
 
It is a decade later and I have a 4K monitor. Starting with the N8 in 2010 I have not had a single phone except for the Moto G3 that could match in in terms of quality.

That says a lot. The phone was a decade ahead of it's time.
 
The N8 was unfortunately let down by its software.

Now the Nokia N9... totally ahead of its time. It really is a pity that Stephen Elop threw Nokia's lot in with Microsoft instead of doubling down on MeeGo (says Captain Hindsight).

Still miss mine. The FM transmitter was great. Dropped my phone and should've fixed it instead of selling it on.
 
Miss the Nokia days. Wish they would make a flagship Android phone and not just these budget phones they currently make.

It's difficult to compete with the bigger names in the flagship department methinks.

The 8.3 seems a worthy midrange successor though?

Yeah people love to stick to their big brands. I've been guilty of that. Recently got myself a OnePlus 8 Pro just so I can have something out of the norm lol

Not really, at 450 EUR the OnePlus Nord comes in at 350 EUR and basically has faster charging, better front cameras and arguably even back, includes BT 5.1 support, faster internal memory and a slightly better display that is also 90Hz with gorilla glass 5 while being more manageable in size and weight.

And Nokia seems to have the impression that it's okay to release a buggy Android update as a major OS and then abandon the device as technically it got updated.

I'm probably going to get the OnePlus Nord as my next phone, I bet OnePlus didn't think it would be so popular and would cannibalize it's own higher end sales. Do note no aux cable though, you'd need an adapter or a headset that support usb c input, e.g. my headset can do audio via USB so I don't really have an issue with it anymore.
 
The HMD Nokia's have been let down badly with software updates. Always full of bugs. In the Nokia 1's case it made mine virtually unusable when trying to answer calls (phone doesn't wake up when sleeping or just restarts).

This after the Android 10 update. Pie that it came with had no bugs and everything worked 100%. So now I'm patiently waiting to see if they going to fix these problems at last. If they don't I'm going to throw my Nokia 1 away. I've had enough.
 
I had a Nokia 8 until my son destroyed it about six months ago. I have a 2.3 now, and the update from 9 to 10 was fine.

It's not a high-end device so it's a bit slow but I didn't feel like risking my son destroying another expensive phone.

Can't say I've had any issues with it!
